The Premium-5 Alternating air mattress overlay is a system providing effective pressure care for those in the medium risk category for pressure areas and has a weight load capacity of up to 150kgs.

Access Plus Premium-5 overlay features 18 transverse air cells which inflate to a height of 125mm. Each cell inflates and deflates alternatively over a period of 10 to 12 minutes.

Premium-5 has a number of features to suit the needs of the person needing pressure care and people operating the system. It has static air head cells, a CPR release tag and heavy duty straps to secure the overlay to any single bed mattress.

The CPR tag can deflate the system in under 20 seconds in the event of a cardiac emergency.

The Premium-5 overlay is easy to install with a laminated quick setup guide plus an instruction manual. The control unit is ultra quiet due to a vibration free compressor, and it features a static air function for support when transferring or treating a patient.

A comfort control guide on the control unit is helpful when choosing the correct setting for pressure relief. An Australian Standards power cord is highly sheilded in the safety colour orange, and it is designed to detach from the control unit if it is tugged or pulled to prevent damage to the unit.

The base section of the Premium-5 features an air shut off valve which allows the end cells to be deflated to suit shorter length beds.

The Premium-5 overlay system is completely modular so all parts can be replaced economically and easily. There are 18 double density high capacity air cells to provide pressure relief, support and comfort. 6 cells in the sacral area are low air loss cells and three end cells are static air for the head area.

The cells of the Premium-5 are attached into place with copper press studs at each end and are further secured into the base with three heavy duty nylon straps sewn in. Cells are connected by double flanged T connectors allowing easy removal and no air loss. The air hoses are spring loaded and anti kink.

The top cover of the Premium-5 is a soft PU multi stretch fabric with a polyester base. This provides a water proof membrane which is also anti shear and air permeable.

The top cover is bonded to the base with a heavy duty zipper which prevents moisture getting into the cell section and it is quick release zip for easy access to the base section. The zipper also prevents air cells lifting up if the press studs detach.

Premium-5 top cover seams and flap edges are sealed to protect against bacteria. An infection control tag provides recommended washing and disinfection procedures. The top cover has printed information to assist with positioning, washing and adjustment of the system.

Accessories of the Premium-5 include a power down alarm, a round or square hook for attaching the control unit to the bed, or a concave positioning cover which has intergrated side foam buffers to prevent the user rolling over the side.
