The Premium-8 digital alternating air mattress is a heavy duty support system for people who have a high risk of developing a pressure ulcer. It includes a digital control unit, 21 transverse alternating air cells with a height of 26cm (18inches), and a single size layered foam base.

The Premium-8 digital cell system works with a 1 in 2 cell alternation of air every 10 minutes, and has a 4 static cells in the head section for constant support.

The cell system features spring loaded anti kink hoses and cells connected with double flanged T connectors for easy removal and no air loss. Quick release connectors attach to the control unit which allows for transport needs and a quick set up.

The Premium-8 digital system has a transport feature to maintain suspension of the patient without power to the control unit.

The Premium-8 digital control unit has a hi flow nitto compressor which is strong, reliable and almost silent. The digital unit provides automatic adjustment of air pressure with a users movement, and it has a full suite of diagnostic and alarm features.

The control unit has a built in audio and visual indicators for low/high pressure, alternation alerts and power down. It has a non continuous mode of operation and has an automatic static cutout after 20 minutes to ensure the patient has pressure relief.

The control unit is attached to the bed via a metal hook which is a choice of either square or round shape.

Premium-8 digital base section features a anti slip surface underneath, and positioning handles on the side. The top cover is a two way stretch fabric, vapour permeable and water resistant.

Premium-8 digital top cover fully seals the system with dual cell press studs, and includes infection control side flaps and taped seams. A heavy duty quick release zipper provides easy access to the cell section.

A quick release CPR pull tag ensures the system can be deflated quickly in the case of a cardiac emergency.

Accessories for the Premium-8 digital includes a square or round hook for attaching the control unit to the bed, and a concave positioning cover which has foam side buffers to prevent the user from rolling off the side.
