The UK Stroke Association has partnered with Cirrus Communication Systems
to offer stroke survivors greater independence through the Cirrus Smart
Call personal assistance alarm.
The Smart Call could help the 80% of stroke survivors living back at
home a year after their stroke to remain independent. The Smart Call
allows stroke survivors to continue living their lives to the full and
provides peace of mind that they will receive a fast and effective
response 24 hours a day from a Careline operator if needed.
Monika Milne, Account Manager - Commercial Ventures at The Stroke Association said:
"The Stroke Association is pleased to be able to offer a product that
will provide greater independence for stroke survivors living back at
home, as well as reassurance for their families and carers. We are also
delighted to be able to offer our supporters another way of helping
stroke survivors across the UK."
The Cirrus Smart Call base unit and pendant costs £105 plus VAT and
£7.95 for postage within the UK.
Cirrus Communication Systems are kindly donating
£10.50 to The Stroke Association for each Smart Call bought through the
partnership. Round the clock Careline monitoring costs £52 a year (plus
VAT), which is less than £1 a week (plus VAT). For more information on
