Following the thrills, drama and excitement of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, it’s time to acknowledge the spectacular results of our Australian Paralympic Team. The dominance of Heath Francis and Evan O’Hanlon at the Bird’s Nest, Matt Cowdrey and Peter Leek’s sensational medal haul at the Water Cube and the rollercoaster ride of Kurt Fearnley’s campaign provided us with magical sporting moments that make us proud to be Australian.
The Australian Paralympian of the Year Awards will be held on Thursday, 23 October at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. This is your opportunity to re-live the memories of Beijing and to recognise the outstanding achievements of our champion Paralympic athletes.
