What does Accessibility Online do?

Accessibility Online offers an extensive range of Products for online purchase. You can also order via fax, email or telephone. Our range includes products that enhance access to the home or work environment, health & fitness, independent living, safety and mobility. In addition, accessibility.com.au provides an Accessibility Products Helpline manned by a team of experienced occupational therapists available to answer any queries about products.

Accessibility Online provides valuable information about services, support and education to the following groups:

A person with a medical condition, impairment or disability
Family members/ friends of a person with a medical condition, impairment or disability
Health professionals
Carers
Seniors
Community support agencies and disability organisations

Finally, Accessibility Online also provides information regarding access to the environment via our Accessible City Guides. These functional access guides are available in our listings of tourism venues and places of interest around Australia. We highlight those venues that are accessible to those with mobility (and in some cases visual and auditory) impairments.

How can I get help for my health problem?

Accessibility Online does not offer treatment; counselling or rehabilitation services however we provide links to many of these services or organisations and the government departments that fund these services throughout Australia.

Yes, you can simply call 1300 ACCESS (1300 222 377) to place an order by phone with one of our staff Occupational Therapists.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit Card:

We accept Visa and MasterCard payment online and over the telephone. You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information with industry high-grade standard 256-bit encryption when you purchase your products from Accessibility Online.

We recommend that you identify your payment with your name and the SKU of the product[s] you are ordering. Once you have made your payment please notify us by email or call 1300 ACCESS (1300 222 377).
Organisations using a purchase order number to place their order should quote the purchase order number when processing the direct payment.

Cheques and Postal Money Orders:

We do accept Cheques or money orders as payment for all product orders. To pay the old fashioned way using a cheque or money order simply select "Cheque or Money Order" on the payment page of the order form and include this with your payment. Once you have fully submitted your order by email or fax or phone you will receive notification of your order being received. The product will be shipped once payment has been received at our end. This does slow the process down by 3 to 5 days. It is wise to check with us by phone 3 to 4 days later.

Do you charge GST?

There is no GST tax on medical and rehab products sold by accessibility.com.au with the exception of a few items falling in the category of potential non-medical use. There is GST on shipping and the GST is inclusive in the pricing provided to you within our shopping cart.

Is it safe to order online?

Placing an order online can be scary for some especially with more expensive or complex products. Please feel free to email questions or call our OT Help Line on 1300 ACCESS (1300 222 377). If we don't know the answer to your question straight away we will find it. We want to be sure that the product you are ordering is what you need and what you want.

We guarantee every payment you make for a purchase from Accessibility Online is 100% safe. For your own peace of mind you can always take the option of entering your order and then call us on 1300 ACCESS (1300 222 377) to complete the order over the phone.

What happens if the item I order is not available?

We try to carry most items in stock with our key manufacturers but as our range is large and growing this will not always be possible. We work on a maximum 4 week order fulfilment capacity with our manufacturers in the case of any item not being in stock. The well respected brands of Guardian and Coopers are often an “order” item so please be aware of this.

If you order an item that is unavailable we will notify you within 1 business day that the goods are not available or delayed in delivery.

How much does Shipping Cost?

All parcels are calculated by "weight and destination postcode" via the online shopping cart calculator. Your delivery prices start as low as $5.50. Shipping costs for additional items are calculated by weight and added to the cost of the first item. Buying in volume will mean you save on shipping costs, which means great value for money.

How long will it take my order to arrive?

Depending on where you are located and if the product is in stock the lead time should take approx 1-2 working days to pack and ship your order. Shipping timeframes include 1 day for Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane and 1 extra day for Perth, Darwin and Canberra. Hobart can be three extra days if customs is involved. For regional towns and rural areas there are extra shipping days as required.

Most items will arrive on your doorstep 5-7 business days after you place your order.

Special shipping with a truck and two men is required for the larger rehab and mobility products such as scooters lift chairs, power wheelchairs, mobile hoists and beds. These products will arrive via a freight company in 7-14 business days from when they leave the manufacturer. The freight company will contact you when the item has arrived at the freight facility in your area to schedule a specific delivery time convenient for you.

When we email you with your order confirmation, we will give you an estimated ship date. If you need more specific shipping information at any time after placing your order, please email us at sales@accessibility.com.au or call us on 1300 ACCESS.

Do you ship to international addresses?

We do not ship outside Australia at this time. All transactions are carried out in Australian Dollars (AUD).
