Art Gallery of South Australia
The Art Gallery of South Australia holds one of Australia’s finest art collections.
The new West Wing houses collection display space, the temporary exhibitions gallery, Bookshop, and Restaurant.
North
Adelaide Gaol
The visitor centre includes a museum which houses an interesting array of artefacts dating back to the Gaol’s early years.
Most of the complex is open to visitors who are welcome to take a tour of the Gaol and inspect the cellblocks, condemned cells, surgery, induction centre, through into exercise yards, the hanging tower and graves area.
Classic Jets Fighter Museum
See an impressive display of RAAF and RAN jet aircraft built between 1950 and 1980. Including, Avon Sabre, F8 Gloster Meteor, De Havilland Sea Venom, De Havilland Vampire, Dassault Mirage III, Bristol Bloodhound Surface-to-Air Missile, GAF Jindivic, P40 Kittyhawk wreck, and the current P38 Lightning restoration project. View military aircraft, engines, flight suits, photos and historical aviation artefacts.
South
Bay Discovery Centre
In addition to multimedia exhibitions, the centre also has a mezzanine gallery which features a program of visual art exhibitions supporting and promoting the work of South Australian artists.
East
National Aboriginal Cultural Institute
Visitors to TANDANYA can meet Indigenous peoples, walk through diverse and exciting exhibitions in art galleries, watch daily didjeridu/dance performance, browse in colourful, award-winning TANDANYA Shop, and enjoy traditional bush tucker with a contemporary twist in the TANDANYA Café.
