The Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park South was completed in 1934 as a memorial to the achievement of the Australian Imperial Forces.

Access:

Wheelchair entrances to Hyde Park are via the cnr Bathurst & Elizabeth Streets, & cnr Oxford & Macquarie Streets. Entrances to the War Memorial exhibits are via single step on College Street side and Elizabeth Street side of the Memorial.

Toilets:

Accessible toilets are located on the corner of Park & Elizabeth Streets and Oxford & Elizabeth Streets. (Oxford/Elizabeth toilet only accessible via Oxford & College St entry or Bathurst & Elizabeth St entry).

Vehicle:

Accessible car parking at Cook & Phillip Carpark near St. Mary's Cathedral (entry off Cathedral Street). There is an accessible path of travel from the carpark via ramps & pedestrian lights to Hyde Park.Taxi ranks are located on Market & Castlereagh Sts (outside of Centrepoint Shopping Centre) and Elizabeth & Bathurst Streets.

Bus:

Wheelchair accessible bus on route 441 (Balmain District to QVB); route 100 (Dee Why to Airport, via North Sydney and Phillip and Elizabeth Streets); route 178 (Dee Why to Town Hall); route 175 (Warringah Mall to Town Hall).The Bondi & Bay Explorer (wheelchair accessible) travels along College Street and stops at Hyde Park (stop 18). Sydney Explorer Bus (non wheelchair) stops at Hyde Park (stop 15) along College Street.

Train:

Museum and St. James Stations are located under Hyde Park but are not wheelchair accessible. Either use the monorail or alight at Town Hall Station and travel 400 metres up William Street to Hyde Park.

Monorail:

From Central Station, take Monorail to City Centre Station. Use lift or stairs to Pitt St level (near corner of Pitt & Market). Travel 100 metres to Hyde Park.
