As well as a proud working venue, the State Theatre is also a state of the art meeting and function facility. The basement levels of the theatre have been tastefully restored and transformed into a magnificent suite of rooms allowing for the widest range of corporate and social usage.

Access:

There is wheelchair entry from Market Street to the ticket window. There is wheelchair access to the seating area.

Seating:

The State Theatre has a number of positions available for disabled and wheelchair bookings. These seats are situated in the Mezzanine Level and can be only booked by contacting the State Theatre direct on 02 9373 6861. Unfortunately due to heritage restrictions the State Theatre currently has no hearing loop facilities.

Toilets:

The Theatre does provide full disabled toilet facilities. To access these facilities, please inform any staff member who will be happy to escort any patrons.

Vehicle:

Set down area on Market Street (between Pitt and Castlereagh). Nearest accessible carpark is at the QVB (Queen Victoria Building), 130 York Stret, entry from York Street. Taxi rank is located on Market St b/w Pitt & Castlereagh Street, outside of Centrepoint Shopping Centre.

Bus:

Wheelchair accessible bus on route 441 - Balmain District to QVB; route 100 - Dee Why, City, Airport; route 178- Dee Why to Town Hall; route 175- Warringah Mall to Town Hall, route 888-QVB to Circular Quay & Star City.

Train:

Alight at Town Hall Station, use new lifts to access George Street or use the lifts at QVB, travel along Market Street to State Theatre.

Monorail:

From Central Station, take Monorail to City Centre Station. Use lift or stairs to Pitt St level (near corner of Pitt & Market).
