This bridge dominates the harbour and links North Sydney and Sydney. It is 65 years old.
Access:
travel from Circular Quay towards the Opera House. There are fine views of the Bridge. To travel along the length of the bridge, travel by car or taxi to Observatory Park, Watsons Road, The Rocks. Use the ramp adjacent to the Park/Watsons Rd to access the Bridge walkway. The walkway is accessible and extends the length of the Harbour Bridge.
The 'Bridgeclimb' is not wheelchair accessible, however it takes 3 hours to climb for a spectacular panoramic view. Phone: 02 9257 0077 for more information.
Vehicle:
Nearest parking station is the Opera House Carpark, entry from Macquarie Street. Accessible carparking at 117 Macquarie Street Carpark, entry off Macquarie Street.Taxi ranks are located on George Street (near the Regent Hotel); and on George Street, opposite the Museum of Contemporary Art (Rocks) and opposite Circular Quay on Alfred Street.
Bus:
A bus interchange is located opposite Circular Quay on Alfred Street. Wheelchair accessible buses operate on routes 390, 392, 393, 399 (Circular Quay to Kingsford and Prince Henry Hospital); route 888 (City shuttle service between Circular Quay & Pyrmont).Sydney Explorer Bus (wheelchair accessible) stop 23 is under the Harbour Bridge, along Hickson Road.
Train:
Circular Quay Railway Station is fully accessible.
Ferry:
Alight at Circular Quay - all ferry wharves are accessible.
