The library has a range of computer software and equipment to enable people with a disability to access the library's resources.

Access:

The accessible entrance to the library is off Macquarie Street, opposite Hunter Street. There are lifts in the building that access all levels. The Disability Access Service staff can help you with questions relating to disability: government services and entitlements, education and employment, support groups and lobby groups, complaints and discrimination, travel and recreation and social and political literature. The library has a collection of talking books, captioned videos and large print books. These are available for loan by asking your local public library to organise an inter-library loan. You can look up talking books and items in other formats by searching the library's catalogue on the web.

Vehicle:

There are 3 parking spaces for people with a Mobility Parking sticker at Shakespeare Place on the corner of Macquarie Street and the Cahill Expressway. There is also some parking available in the staff parking area. This needs to be arranged ahead of time by phoning the Disability Access Service on (02) 9273 1583, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Train:

The nearest wheelchair accessible train station is Circular Quay. The nearest railway station (stair only) is Martin Place.
