Collections include Aboriginal & Torres Strait gallery, Asian Art, Western Art, Contemporary Art, photography, and the Brett Whiteley Studio.
Access:
The main entrance has stairs. The wheelchair accessible entry is located at the rear of the Art Gallery. Take the road down the right side of the building to Security. Security will open the door to access the Gallery on level 1. Adjacent to the wheelchair entry is the lift, which accesses upper level, ground, levels 1, 2, & 3. The Domain theatre is fitted with an audio induction loop system and a FM transmitter system is used for guided tours if requested.
Assistance: The information desk is located on the ground level, near the main entrance. The information desk and Security has free wheelchair hire (limited). There are organised tours in Auslan (sign language) for hearing impaired. Auslan tours normally happen on the second Sunday of every month. Toilets:
There are accessible toilets on level 1 & level 3.
Vehicle:
Two accessible carparks are located at the rear of the Art Gallery. Follow road down the right side of the building to Security. For bookings phone 02 9225 1775.
Bus:
Wheelchair accessible bus operates on route 441 (Balmain District to Art Gallery via Town Hall). The bus set down area is outside the main entrance.
Train:
The nearest accessible train station is Circular Quay (easy access) or Town Hall.
