Wheelchair accessible entry from George Street. There is a good path of travel to Reception and lift (on harbour side). The lift accesses all levels.

Nearest parking station is 96-118 Gloucester Street, The Rocks. Taxi ranks are located on George Street (near the Regent Hotel); and on George Street, opposite the Museum of Contemporary Art (Rocks).

A bus interchange is located opposite Circular Quay on Alfred Street. Wheelchair accessible buses operate on routes 390, 392, 393, 399 (Circular Quay to Kingsford and Prince Henry Hospital); route 888 (City shuttle service between Circular Quay & Pyrmont). Bondi and Bay explorer bus stop 1 in front of museum. Sydney explorer bus stop 1 in front of museum.
